HCJB Global team cycled to nowhere!
PHEW! We did it! 136.4 miles in 6 hours! We may not have broken any records. but to date we have raised over £1800 for our Media Centre.
On Weds 1st Sept between 2pm and 8pm the HCJB Global UK Team cycled non-stop in a bid to raise funds to expand our UK ministry by refurbishing our Media Centre in Bradford.
During this time the office was open for visitors and we welcomed a steady stream of people with tea and cakes. They were shown around the building and saw the plans and artists impressions of the new training and office facilities that we hope to create.
To date the event raised nearly £1800, but it's not too late to add to that total. Just click here:

Why did we do it?
In March 2008 God miraculously provided the money needed for us to buy the building that we had been renting part of for many years. Since then we have been exploring options for making the best use of the extra space this provided. Now we have plans drawn up, approved and ready to go!
Here in the UK, HCJB Global’s passion is to be the Voice of Jesus through media production and training. At a time when other ministries are aiming their radio programmes more and more at believers, we remain focussed on those outside the church who tune-in to commercial radio stations, not expecting to hear anything about God. This calls for a certain skill set that involves creativity, technical ability and a good understanding of the UK radio industry. These are all things we want to pass onto others, which is why we have placed a big emphasis on training in our Media Centre plans.
On the ground floor we are planning a large training room, along with a new studio and editing suite. These spaces will allow us to make this floor into a self-contained training centre to equip Christians with the skills they need to make an impact on 21st Century media.
On the first floor we are extending the production area so that our Whistling Frog radio team can have the space they need to grow and to continue producing their award-winning programmes. We are also increasing the space for our IT department as their workload increases in serving our HCJB Global regions in Africa, Europe and the Arab World. On top of this we have added extra meeting rooms, a coffee lounge, a widened lobby area and lots of new access for disabled visitors.
The generous response of supporters to our original appeal means that we already have some of the funds needed for the refurbishment, but we need another miracle from God to reach our target.
