HAITI UPDATE: Tuesday 19th
Miracles are happening!
A lady named Alexis had emergency surgery for internal bleeding. She wasn't expected to survive the surgery but she did. The surgeons found 2 bleeding ulcers and she lost so much blood. Their fear was that she would start bleeding again and there is no blood in Haiti. She survived the night but her haemoglobin count was 2 and she needed blood urgently.
One of the workers at the hospital happened to remember unloading some stuff he thought would be helpful that came in from Samaritans Purse. In the box was a blood transfusion kit, but the bag to hold the blood was missing.
Praise the Lord. The missing bag was found and HCJB Global doctor, Leonardo, is the right blood type and was willing to give his own blood.
Give thanks that more doctors from Samaritans Purse have arrived to join the team. This means that they are able to open up the second operating theatre.
